The World Premieres Film Festival is set to have its feature films screened at select SM Cinemas running from July 2 to July 8, 2014. Feature films from all over the world will be distributed to various SM Malls around Metro Manila; SM Sta. Mesa, SM Manila, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, and SM North Edsa.
With the stronger ties between the FDCP and embassies through their cultural arms in the country, the WPFF would be the biggest film festival in the Philippines this year. With film luminaries, directors and celebrity guests attending.
Various SM Cinema theaters will be the official venue for the WPFF feature films screenings. SM Cinema has been the Filipinos largest film distributor in the country, helping the expansion of the film industry in the Philippines.
The Philippine Daily Inquirer, which has been the Philippines’ most credible and influential newspaper has long been supporting the local film market in the Philippines through the Indie Bravo, an annual film festival in partnership with the FDCP, showcasing Independent films from all over the country.
SM Cinema and Philippine Daily Inquirer partnered with the Film Development Council of the Philippines, broadening cultural exchange with various countries through the World Premieres Film Festival. In support of their advocacy in uplifting the film market in the Philippines.
