23 March 2014 was the first time I encountered an art exhibit that doesn’t require entrance tickets. With a big plus of seeing great works of art. Art in the Park is an annual exhibit of various invited art groups all over the Philippines, Including universities and organizations. It is an annual project of the Museum Foundation of the Philippines which supports our National Museum.
It showcases art formats such as paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, digital graphics and many more. These exhibit pieces are open to purchases and are ranging from Php 30, 000 and below. As I mentioned earlier, this was my first time to meet and see actual artists in one venue, so I grabbed the opportunity to get some snaps. These are some of the exhibited artworks I was able to witness. Enjoy! 😊
The streets of Ayala on a Sunday seem to look like a zombie apocalypse. You can barely see a living soul strolling around the place, so I least expected this visitor turn out at the exhibit. I even chanced to see Victor Basa who bought several masterpieces, Rajo Laurel, Howie Severino, Cristalle Henares and the Lopezes.
Together with my art enthusiast friends. We all had a really great time, came back twice or thrice.
Who doesn’t love visual art? It was really nice that I’ve been part of witnessing creativity of our very own artists. Let’s keep supporting ’em! 🙂
